I have a friend’s wedding this weekend and I have the sentimental portion of the speech together… But I need some good best-man one-liners. Anyone heard any good ones or given a speech that has left people rolling…

Get six other men, all of them and yourself get three beer, preferably bottles, then open them in a 21 beer salute then have someone hum taps as a memorial to his gone batchleor hood.

Me and my husband-to-be, are both not confident about speaking in front of a large amount of people. We are thinking about doing a joint speech, how would you feel if you were at a wedding at the bride and groom both stood up and picthed a speech?

its gr8 i mean if you both give a joint speech it will show ur love and how comfortable u people r together…………..and the firstb thing u do after marraige together then it shows that u people always do everything together and agree to similar ideas….less quarreling……

Who should I have at the top table at my wedding?

Traditionally it’s meant to be bride, groom, parents of the bride and groom, best man and maid of honour.
However, my mum passed away when I was 18 and I’m not getting on well with my dad. The grooms side is sorted. He’ll have his parents and his brother (the best man)
I’m not sure who’s giving me away at the moment and I’ve already posted a question about that.
I get on really well with my aunt and uncle so I’m not sure if they should be at the top table. But then there’s my dad and my brother, one of which may be giving me away.
Also I’m only having two bridesmaids so it’ll seem unfair having just one up there. Who should I have?
I’m not sure who’ll be making speeches either. At the moment I’m going thinking that I’ll make a speech along with the groom and best man but it all depends on who’s giving me away. It’s so complicated.. help!!
Forgot to point out that I’m from the UK and the tradition here is parents sit at the top table too.

This is also a hard decision to make!
Im going to assume that your brother is going to walk you down the isle because i was the best answer on that question!

Im going to say your brother your dad and the two bridesmaids.
But im thinking that you want some kind of mother figure there so in my opinion the alternative is, your aunt, uncle and two bridesmaids.
Or another way is two add your dad to the alternative, but i don’t know if he gets on with your aunt an uncle, especially if they are on your mums side.

I hope this gives you an answer or at least an idea on what to do.
